Planning With Heart Maintenance Program

Estate planning is an ongoing process. As your life changes, you update your plan to match. That’s why Chaney Counsel offers the Planning With Heart Maintenance Program—an ongoing support service that keeps your estate plan up-to-date, effective, and tailored to your goals. This program is available for an additional fee.

After you complete your estate plan with Chaney Counsel, you can choose to enroll in this program. We provide peace of mind through regular plan reviews, ongoing guidance, and proactive updates. When your family, finances, health, or wishes change, the Planning With Heart Maintenance Program ensures your plan always fits your needs and protects the people you care about most.

Our maintenance program is designed to address:

  • Changes in family dynamics, including marriage, divorce, births, or loss of a loved one
  • Updates to financial circumstances or asset portfolios
  • Changes in fiduciary appointments, trustees, or guardians
  • Evolving planning goals and personal wishes
  • Significant changes in estate planning, probate, and tax laws

At Chaney Counsel, we treat estate planning as a living, ongoing process—not just paperwork to file away. We provide continuous guidance and build lasting relationships so you always feel confident your plan works the way you want.

Legacy Roundtable Meeting

Facilitate a one-hour discussion of the client’s estate plan with their successor trustee(s) and other trust advisors (financial advisors, CPA). During the Family Summit, the attorney will facilitate dialogue surrounding the structure of the estate plan, the duties and expectations of the fiduciary named in the planning, and the expected distribution of assets upon the client’s death.

To support thoughtful, family-centered planning, we also offer a Legacy Roundtable Meeting as an optional add-on. In this one-hour, guided discussion, you, your successor trustee(s), and other trusted advisors—like your financial advisor or CPA—come together to promote open communication, clarity, and preparedness. This service is available for an additional fee.

During the meeting, we discuss:

  • The overall structure and purpose of the estate plan
  • The roles, responsibilities, and expectations of successor trustees and fiduciaries
  • How assets are expected to be managed and distributed
  • Important practical information and next steps for loved ones
  • Opportunities for questions and collaborative discussion

These conversations give you and your family real peace of mind by making sure everyone understands the plan and feels ready for the future. We aim to create transparency, reduce uncertainty, and smooth out any future transitions.
